UPDATE: The College of Southern Maryland is $670 away from launching men's and women's lacrosse programs. The goal of the CSM Foundation has been to raise $25,000 in order to field the two teams, and as soon as the final donations come in, the college can register its lacrosse programs with the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association. That means CSM's men's team can be playing at Division I level with the NJCAA as soon as spring 2014 and women, spring 2015.
The CSM Foundation is looking for generous donations: any and all donations will get CSM that much closer to registering its teams and hiring a coach ~ to be in on making this happen, donations can be made online directly here ( https://foundation.csmd.edu/sslpage.aspx?pid=354 )
